Alicia Aguirre

Alicia C. Aguirre is an elected member of the City Council in the City of Redwood City where she has served as both Vice Mayor and Mayor. She is the first Latina Mayor in the history of Redwood City. She also served as a Trustee and the President of the Redwood City Elementary School Board prior to joining the City Council. Alicia is a languages professor at CaƱada College, STEM leader and Coordinator of the ESL Dept. She holds an M.A. from Eastern Michigan University. She was a Fulbright Exchange Professor in Argentina.
