Inaugural CHC Roundtable on AI
July 23, 2024

We had an incredibly productive conversation about AI literacy with Congressional leaders this week. A huge thank you to Congressman Adriano Espaillat, Vice Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), and Congressman Ted Lieu for hosting the Inaugural CHC Roundtable on AI. CHC Chair Rep. Nanette Barragán, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Darren Soto, and Rep. Jesus Garcia for Congress joined a dynamic conversation about AI literacy, trustworthy AI, and the CHC's active role in AI with this launch. It's always a pleasure to be joined by fellow panelists Nicol Turner Lee, Miriam Vogel, and Bipartisan Policy Center leaders.

The CHC is taking an active role in advocating for AI literacy - understanding AI basics in order to prepare for the opportunities and changes coming with AI. AI literacy permeates everything we touch in our daily lives through AI. Every time we use a device, we are interacting with AI. Every time we shop online or pick a movie from a streaming service, we are interacting with AI. Now is the time for AI literacy to prepare!
