What We Do
We demystify new technologies by helping people understand how they engage with AI in a way that is easy to understand. We take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly of AI, including how it influences online safety, education, elections, health, housing, jobs, finances, and more.
Based in the Bay Area, AIandYou is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded by Susan Gonzales in 2019. Susan launched the organization when she identified the chasm between the AI ecosystem and marginalized communities. AIandYou aims to help people understand with easy-to-understand information about AI online and through community conversations and events with policymakers.
Susan Gonzales, CEO, brings years of experience in technology, community outreach, and policy to AIandYou. She serves on the National AI Advisory Committee advising President Biden and the Administration on the National AI Initiative, and she is on the board of EqualAI. She co-authored "A Blueprint for Equity and Inclusion in AI"
, released by the World Economic Forum in 2022.
Susan created AIandYou to educate marginalized communities about artificial intelligence and new technologies to level the playing field for those often left behind. Susan brings a unique perspective from Washington, D.C. policy and Silicon Valley to this work.
