Today, we are talking about artificial intelligence known as AI and the three things you should know about it. Here's the thing about AI. It's not just robots learning to think like humans, like in The Matrix or Star Wars. It's things like Spotify's weekly playlist, nailing your taste in music. It's you applying for a job online or asking Alexa to turn off the lights. You get the point.

But let's get personal. What is AI and what does it mean to you? AI works on data. Data is created every time you use the internet, the data you create starts from the moment you log on. It's called your digital footprint.

Let's start at the beginning of your day. Imagine a tray of white paint next to your bed. Every morning when you begin to browse you step into the tray and create a footprint, then as you check on social media and the news and do some shopping, you're leaving footprints. You're tracking paint all over the house, your school, the doctor's office, unbelievable tracks are everywhere.

Here's an example. When we shop online, our behavior tells the AI behind the scenes what we look at, what we like and what topics we find interesting. Without AI, we wouldn't have things like listening to our personalized music on demand on our phone. Without AI we wouldn't be applying for jobs or loans online.Without AI our doctors would not be able to access really important data about our health.

AI is behind all of these things. So the next time you get out of bed and you create your digital footprint in your daily life, think about how you're creating data for AI. Also look around for opportunities that may be created by AI for you in education, career, or your workplace.You gotta be smart about it.

You got to remember, people can see what you're doing online, what you do online can and will be used for more things than you can imagine. So the next time you start browsing and clicking, just remember, AI is working behind the scenes, be aware of your browsing. Be safe.
