Conversation with Lisa Rice

There’s a heck of a lot going on behind the scenes when you apply for a loan or mortgage. It’s not just paperwork that you’re contending with; it’s artificial intelligence, too.

The National Fair Housing Alliance, founded in 1988 in Washington D.C., is the only national organization dedicated solely to ending discrimination in housing. The NFHA works to ensure equal housing opportunity for all people through leadership, education and outreach, membership services, public policy initiatives, community development, advocacy, and enforcement.

On the first episode of the AIandYou podcast, AIandYou founder Susan Gonzales sits down with Lisa Rice, the President and CEO of the NFHA. Susan speaks with Lisa about the Tech Equity Initiative, NFHA’s effort designed to eliminate bias in algorithmic-based systems used in-housing and financial services, increase transparency and explainability for AI tools, and increase diversity and inclusion in the tech field among other ambitions.
